I have purchased 4 copies of the PC version of FAR CRY 2. I have had a continuous problem with their game server. You can see many online games, few of which shows a ping of 9999. One of these is my son's gane. The server will not allow you to connect to these games. I have e-mailed Ubisoft about the problem and the keep saying that it is a problem in my end with the internet security software and router firmware not being updated. The server also disconnects your account fron the server in the middle of a game. I have done everything they recommend and then some to correct any problem that may be on my end.
In addition I have created a bootable hard drive to be used exclusively with "Far Cry 2", it has only windows XP (firewall disabled) and "Far cry 2" on the drive. This should eliminate and conflict. I have also downloaded and installed the latest firmware on my router, as well as opening ports 9000-9004.
I am getting no resolution for this problem and think future customers should be aware of that lack of response from Ubisoft.
IT WILL BE A COLD DAY IN HELL WHEN I EVER BUY A UBISOFT PRODUCT AGAIN.

After I bought my new laptop
After I bought my new laptop (for gaming), I wanted to obtain internet security software to protect myself. I was confused by all the options out there until I came across this site: http://www.nextadvisor.com/internet_security_software/index.php
It's a free review of Internet Security Software from people who have actually used the software. It really helped me to make an informed decision and they even have discounts on the software they review.
I did however correct the
I did however correct the problem by selecting a "static NAT" in my router setup. Now all is well through no help from UBISOFT, Who gives you only generic answers.
All of these numbers are for
All of these numbers are for "Far Cry" not "Far Cry 2" which is "9000-9004" both tcp and udp.
