Domestic policy

Who can win the 2008 Election? The Democrats and Republicans are listening too much to the Media and neglecting common sense.

The Election of 2008 will be decided by the Independent voters in America. That may appear to be a broad statement, but the number of Independent Voters is about 35%, and that’s over one third of the electorate. So far in this campaign, both the Republican and Democratic parties and tried to headline candidates who will not appeal to that segment of America that will determine who wins and who goes home.

Polling the American Voter: Are you getting what you want to hear or what they want you want to hear?

If you are any type of “political junkie,” or just the average listener, you have been inundated by so many polls that you wonder why the hell they haven’t called you by now! Since Iowa, every major media outlet, whether it is television, newspapers, or professional pollsters, have been canvassing New Hampshire, like an electric blanket. Perhaps, that explains the unusual warm weather we had for the New Hampshire Primary! At the end of the day, what service did they provide, if only to give themselves something on which to pontificate?

Kevin Martin and the FCC’s vote on consolidation of the media on December 18th: Prepare to become dumber than you already are!

On December 18th, The FCC will host an Open Meeting to decide whether to allow Corporate America to monopolize the ownership of newspapers, television and radio, within a local area. In spite of outrage by the General Public, the House of Representatives and the Senate, Chairman Kevin J. Martin plans to give away the store and allow the “Corporate Media Giants” to receive an early Christmas present!

China: The grinch who stole Christmas! Are you placing your children’s safety at risk this Holiday season?

Having a problem as what to buy this year for Christmas? Are those toys safe? How about that clothing you wanted get for the kids, or for that matter, yourself? You’ve just entered the twilight zone of the world economy, and it’s starting to look really ugly. What you’ve saved in cheaply manufactured goods may well have to pay for medical treatment for lead and formaldehyde poisoning!

American Politics: What does God have to do with it?

Exactly when did God find his or her way into American Politics? It appears that all of the Presidential candidates have had to define their religious beliefs, as an integral part of their candidacy and platform! Personally, I really don’t give a damn what their religious beliefs are, but more importantly, why should we be obsessed with this irrelevant matter. It should be irrelevant as far as the American public is concerned. It may or may not be for the particular candidate. How have we arrived at this point in History?

The Fear Factor and how it controls American minds and American politics!

As citizens of the United States of America, we are, without a doubt, the safest nation in the world. We are the only Super Power left standing after the 20th Century of Total War and as well as the Cold War. After the fall of the Soviet Union, The United States remained the only nation who could influence any other nation in the world. We have the most advanced and best equipped Armed Forces of any nation today. Yet, Americans are becoming paranoid regarding their safety.

What’s wrong with America in the 21st Century! The American mindset of “Rugged Individualism” and the “Last Frontier.”

Why is America falling behind among the most advanced nations in the world? In Life Expectancy, we are rated 11th, just behind Austria with a rating of 75.0 years. Japan is rated number 1 at 79.1. On Health Coverage, the United States is rated last, after Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. These figures are frightening, if you consider how far behind we have fallen over the past 20 years! In Education, the United States was rated 18th out of the top 24 nations in the world, and Finland was rated Number One! What does that say regarding America’s future?

The Democratic Debate in New Hampshire: The “Big Three” sound like Republicans, except for Richardson!

To anyone who witnessed the Democratic Debate at Dartmouth College on September 26th, you would never know whether you were listening to a Democrat or a Republican regarding Iraq! Clinton, Obama and Edwards all implied that U.S. Armed Forces could still be deployed in Iraq at the end of their First Term! Once again, the Democratic Party is afraid to take a stand!

Is Fred Thompson the candidate that the Republicans have been waiting for?

It’s time to stop acting like Democrats and more like Republicans, as we close in on the 2008 Election. Over that past year, the Republican Party has been looking at candidates who would quality for a popularity poll or beauty contest, rather than securing the Executive Branch for another four years! Up to now, all of the front runners will have a tough time defeating the Democratic candidate, even if it’s Hillary or Barack Obama, and especially if it’s Bill Richardson or some other Moderate Democrat! Why? The reason is that all of the front runners have baggage or are damaged goods!

Alberto Gonzales resigns! Is the Bush Administration circling the wagons?

On Monday, August 27, 2007, at 10:32 AM, EST, Alberto Gonzales announced in a brief statement that he was stepping down as Attorney General of the United States. Gonzales has been hammered by Congress, The Press and anyone who has half a brain for being the worst Attorney General in US History. We probably could find one that was worse if we dug into out History books, but this is the idiot with whom we had to deal with. Gonzales, from the beginning, was totally out of his league.
